1972 Omega De Ville Electronic F 300Hz (Ref. 198.0032) "14K Gold Filled"
Omega's De Ville is one of its longest continually running lines and one of its most iconic. But even within a line as well-known as this, there can always be a few super-unique pieces that fly a little more under the radar. Case in point, this De Ville Electronic f300 Hz, ref. 198.0032. To say it's eye-catching would be an understatement. The stunning dial is comprised of a intricate texture of the outer dial that is met by a smooth inner dial that features concentric brushing, the 14k gold-filled case and bracelet give the watch an affluent aesthetic, but the real star of the show here is the chronometer-grade electronic tuning fork movement. An interesting piece of horological history that was around for only a short period of time before largely being replaced by quartz movements. Just listen for the hum of the Omega Cal. 1250 movement instead of the typical ticking of a mechanical watch and you'll know why this is such a fun, beloved piece.

The gorgeous silver dial is in fantastic condition. The center section is smooth with a concentrically-brushed finish, which gives way to the outer section and its intricate stamp-textured design. The onyx hour markers add an extra air of luxury with lume plots that have aged to a perfect cream color. The hands have aged to match the dial perfectly and the gold sweep seconds hand completes the package. Under U.V. light inspection the 6 and 7 o'clock lumes show minor degradation.
None. The watch is keeping time and recently recieved a new battery.
