1970s Zodiac Automatic Triple Calendar Moon Phase (Ref. 742-908)

When it comes to vintage watch brands, Zodiac is definitely one of the more under-the-radar options. In the ‘50s and ‘60s, Zodiac was a highly respected challenger to brands like Rolex, Blancpain, and Tudor, mostly thanks to the iconic Sea-Wolf. And perhaps due in part to not having the same clout as some of the aforementioned brands, Zodiac was known for crafting unique and highly-functional watches at more attainable price points.

Case in point, this Zodiac ref. 742-908 Automatic Triple Calendar from the 1970s, designed to tell the wearer the day, date, and month as well as the phase of the moon. This triple calendar Zodiac is beautifully executed and certainly a conversation starter, all at a price point that is far more obtainable than anything of this nature produced by Zodiac's competitors.
