The Rolex Day-Date earned the nickname "President" after it had been rumored that President Dwight Eisenhower began wearing one, however, Eisenhower wore a Rolex 18K yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Datejust which Rolex gifted to him in 1953. However the nickname President is quite fitting for the day date as Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Reagan, Nixon and Roosevelt, all wore the Rolex Day-Date and is a symbol of status and luxury as the Rolex Day-Date is only made in precious metals most commonly 18k yellow gold and possesses both the day and date complications within the movement.

CASE & BRACELET
The unpolished 18k white gold case retains a very strong factory finishing both on top of the lugs and underneath the lugs with moderate signs of previous use. The 18k white gold fluted bezel remains in gorgeous factory condition. The sapphire crystal is clean showing no blemishes or scratches. The case back remains in unpolished condition as well. The original Rolex 8385 18k white gold President bracelet with 55B6 end pieces and hidden clasp remains unpolished with its factory finishing intact throughout, and retains 22 links that exhibit no stretch.
DIAL & HANDS
The blue sunburst dial with a Roman numeral minute track is absolutely stunning and is in overall great condition, there is a small mark above the hand stack that mostly blends in with the dial. The tritium lume plots remain bright white, exhibiting no patina, under U.V. light inspection the 6 and 7 o'clock lume plots show some degradation and the rest of the lume plots remain fully intact. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and display no degradation under U.V. light inspection.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
