Zenith Chronograph 1st Gen. El Primero "DeLuca"
The Zenith "De Luca" was the name of Zenith's main Italian distributor who apparently had some important input into designing a watch with a bicolored face with either a white main dial with black sub dials or a black dial with white subdials like the one we are featuring here at craft and tailored. The DeLucas were in production from 1988 to 1996. The early variants of this reference do not bear the words "El Primero" and are highly sought after as they are the early variants and are considered to be the rarest out of the 4 mark variants. From what we here at Craft & Tailored can gather, this series was only made from 1988-89. This specific model of pre El Primero was the only model to have a Plexi Crystal and the sword hands were also unique to the Mk I variant such as the one we are featuring here.
