The Kakume or “Square Eyes” Seiko automatic chronograph is powered by the revered Seiko cal. 6138 movement and beloved by enthusiasts for its oddball design and color scheme. Featuring large, square sub-dials at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions on the dial, the ref. 6138-0030 also features a quick-set day and date complication.

CASE & BRACELET
The large geometric case has seen a light polish in the past and retains all of its angles and dimensions. The black Tachymeter bezel shows minor signs of previous use. The case retains its original pump pushers and crown. The case back retains all of its original factory markings in crisp condition. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The grey sunburst dial has aged to achieve a warm taupe coloration consistent throughout, while the originally bright orange minute track has faded to a yellow color, making for a charming vintage aesthetic throughout. The dial itself shows no notable damage or marks. The lume plots have taken on a light to medium grey color, common for Seikos of this era, and show no degradation when inspected under UV light. The original lume hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation present under UV light inspection.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is running, though the service history is unknown. A movement service can be purchased upon request.
