 The Zodiac Sea Wolf was introduced to the world in 1953 (The same year as the Rolex Submariner) and was one of the first diving sport watches produced and marketed for the masses. The Super Sea Wolf was introduced in the early part of the 1970s as their more advanced and professional version of its predecessor with an improved depth rating of 750 meters.

Considered oversized at the time, the Super Sea Wolf now sits comfortably within today's sizing standards from men's wristwatches. With its large tonneau style case, high visibility dial and hands, and original bracelet, the Zodiac Super Sea Wolf checks all our boxes as an excellent "golden era" dive watch with a great retro aesthetic.

CASE & BRACELET

The robust and large tonneau-style oval case is in very well-preserved and minimally worn condition, showing signs of light polishing in the past with the original case angles and design intact. The original bakelite bezel remains in excellent condition showing no cracking present and only light signs of use present. The original mineral glass crystal exhibits some scratching and wear from use. The watch will come on JB Champion stainless steel bracelet, the bracelet shows minimal stretch and will fit up to an 8-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The matte black dial is in excellent vintage condition and has achieved a beautiful "galaxy" patina from speckling on the dial. Apart from the patina, no scratches or notable elements of damage are present. The tritium lume plots are surrounded by orange reflective material creating a vibrant combination of colors on the dial, the lume plots feature a green and grey patina with no degradation present under UV light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly, under UV light inspection the hour hand displays some missing lume and remains stable, the rest of the hands remain fully intact.

ACCESSORIES 

None. The watch is keeping time, but the service history is unknown. A movement service can be provided upon request.
