Baume & Mercier

Tropical 1970s Baume & Mercier Baumatic 18K YG (Ref. 35115)

$ 2,900

Baume & Mercier's origin begins with two brothers, Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume who opened a high-end watch store in 1830 Switzerland. Louis-Victor and Célestin built their business and reputation on the motto “accept only perfection, only manufacture watches of the highest quality”. It wasn't until Louis-Victor's grandson, William Baume, met Paul Mercier in 1918 that Baume & Mercier would officially form in Geneva. Holding true to the original motto established by the Baume brothers, William and Paul went on to receive esteemed recognition and many awards for their innovation in horology and quality of timepieces.

The interesting and devilishly handsome Baumatic ref. 35115 presented here is the perfect amalgamation of an Omega Constellation, Cartier Elipse, and a Patek Philippe Calatrava. The striking Clous de Paris, or hobnail, 18K yellow gold case is elegant, yet understated, and is the perfect backdrop for the perfectly aged "tropical" dial.
